Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, username, and password when you create an account. You may optionally provide a profile photo and bio.

Profile data: Public profile information including display name, avatar, bio, and deal history you choose to make public.

Deal content: Messages, files, agreement terms, milestone data, and other content you create within deal rooms.

Payment information: Payment method details are processed via Stripe and Plaid. Full financial account numbers are processed by our payment partners and are not stored on our servers.

Device and usage data: Log data, device information, IP addresses, and feature usage patterns to operate and improve the platform.

2. How We Use It

  • To operate the platform and provide deal room services
  • To process payments and facilitate protected payment holds
  • To send deal notifications, transactional emails, and important updates
  • To improve the product and develop new features
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share It

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties. We share data with:

  • Stripe: Payment processing and protected payment holds
  • Plaid: Bank account connections
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery
  • Twilio: SMS verification
  • Supabase / Vercel: Cloud infrastructure and hosting
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority

4. Data Retention

Active account data is retained while your account is open. Deal records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations. You may request deletion of non-transactional data by contacting us at support@truvow.app.

5. Your Rights

You may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

6. California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what information we collect and request deletion. Contact us at support@truvow.app to exercise your CCPA rights.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, row-level access controls, and secure authentication. No transmission method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Minors

Truvow is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice for material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
